About lilyseed.com
|
I am a lily enthusiast from way back. My interest started with the present from my beloved father, Robert Lafayette Gaut, of some Lilium rubescens seeds he found growing in the wild. I also found Lilium pardalinum growing in the creek near my house. Of course I had to cross pollinate them! With the addition of some Oriental hybrid lilies from B & D Lilies I was off to a grand start. Spring of 2003 my enthusiasm blossomed anew with the successful back cross of the (L. pardalinum x L. rubescens) to L. rubescens. The seeds from this cross are blooming. They turned out nice shades of pink to salmon.
